Network Engineer

Network Engineer to join our existing engineering team and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining networking infrastructure utilizing a variety of routing and switching technologies within a Service Provider network including: Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Ruckus/Comscope, and others. The engineer will work closely with DevOps tools and best practices utilizing a variety of open source technologies for simplifying deployment and maintenance of the network and computing infrastructure. This position will work with new technologies and platforms to test interoperability and validate proof-of-concept solutions for deploying a fast, stable, and secure Internet experience for customers. This is an on-site position in East Lansing, Michigan. We are not currently offering relocation assistance. We are not interested in 3rd party talent acquisition assistance in filling this role.

Job responsibilities

  • Design and implement network solutions and connectivity utilizing Cisco, Juniper routing and switching technologies within the core and a variety of additional vendors at the customer edge
  • Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, WiFi radios, controllers and other connected systems
  • IPv4 and IPv6 allocation planning for optimal network utilization and redundancy scenarios
  • Troubleshoot network issues and implement solutions to resolve them
  • Monitor network performance and identify potential issues
  • Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
  • Work within Linux environments and utilize Network DevOps culture and principles in the network engineering and operations
  • Maintain VMWare virtualization environment running a mix of Windows and Linux VMs running both public-facing and back-office applications
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure network uptime and optimal performance
  • Assist in scheduled and emergency network maintenance to upgrade or restore connectivity while minimizing impact to customers

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field – or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience with Cisco and Juniper routing and switching technologies in an enterprise or service provider environment
  • Proficiency with Linux systems and open source technologies for network management and maintenance
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • CCNA or JNCIA certification (or above) is a plus



Full Stack Developer

Full Stack Developer to join the team of other full stack developers in an established development environment. We are an Internet Service Provider that also specializes in developing tools and interfaces that make managing technology and data easier. Qualified candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications and web services. You will work closely with other developers, designers, and project managers to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions. This is an on-site position in East Lansing, Michigan.   • Enhance and maintain our existing Dolibarr ERP/CRM modules
  • Diagnose performance issues and implement optimizations

Job requirements
